Kelly Services (Schweiz) AG. (10/13/21). "Press Release: Stéphane Miras is the New Director Life Sciences for Kelly Services (Schweiz) AG". Zürich / Neuchâtel.

Stéphane Miras is the new Director Life Sciences and member of the Swiss Leadership Team of Kelly Services (Switzerland) AG as of October 1, 2021. Kelly is considered one of the strongest players in the Life Sciences recruitment industry in Switzerland. Stéphane Miras will help to further drive the specialization and growth strategy in this area. Life Sciences companies are particularly challenged in terms of their talent strategy: on the one hand, they need to find highly specialized profiles; on the other, they have to ensure large volumes of human resources capacity are available quickly.

Stéphane Miras holds a PhD from CEA Grenoble and speaks English and French. After a scientific career, he started his career in recruitment in 2008 as a Recruitment Consultant dedicated to the Life Sciences sector, at Kelly Services in Geneva. From 2010 to 2017, he was responsible for the Geneva branch and was promoted to Regional Head Life Sciences for Western Switzerland in 2017.

The challenges in recruitment for the Life Sciences industry

The Life Sciences sector is a strong talent market, and this is true for Switzerland as well as most other countries. Life Sciences companies need to recruit specific talent to grow, innovate and stay competitive in the market. “For specialist positions, there are only a few people in Switzerland or in Europe at any given time who have the qualifications for a vacant position. Life Sciences companies also need to be able to quickly increase their staffing capacity to cover peak production periods,” Stéphane Miras says of the challenges facing this industry.

Recruitment as the competitive factor for Life Sciences companies

Due to the strategic relevance of talent, most Life Sciences companies have been building internal recruiting teams for several years to find the required profiles. Nevertheless, they regularly reach their limits. Depending on the role that needs to be filled, they lack the technical knowledge and the appropriate networks to access the talent. Specialized recruiters can efficiently support them in this type of recruitment and offer considerable added value for identifying specific profiles on the market. In the field of temporary work, the added value of recruiters is that they are flexible and can quickly handle large numbers of personnel.

Kelly Services is the specialist for Life Sciences recruitment

Kelly is one of the strongest Life Sciences recruitment organizations in the world. More than 4000 specialized consultants work in this field, of whom more than 70% have a life science degree or specific industry experience.
