AMR Action Fund

The AMR Action Fund will invest in small and medium-sized biotech companies focused on developing novel antibiotics that address the highest-priority public health needs. > Total budget at launch: USD 1 billion (more than DKK 6 billion). > Total Danish contribution of about DKK 500 million: Novo Nordisk Foundation (DKK 330 million/USD 50 million), Novo Nordisk (DKK 165 million/USD 25 million), LEO Pharma (DKK 16.5 million/USD 2.5 million) and Lundbeck (DKK 16.5 million/USD 2.5 million). > Biopharmaceutical companies and foundations supporting the Fund: Almirall, Amgen, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Chugai, Daiichi Sankyo, Eisai, Eli Lilly and Company, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, Menarini, Merck, MSD, Novartis, Pfizer, Roche, Shionogi, Takeda, Teva and UCB. > Investments will be guided by an independent Scientific Advisory Board comprised of world-class experts.
