BioKryo, Cryopal biobank solution (CBS), Isenet biobanking and AirLiquide Healthcare Cryo-bank become BioKryo.

On the occasion of the inauguration of a new site in Germany, Air Liquide Healthcare, a key player in the cryopreservation of biological samples is bringing together its four biobanks, located in Germany, France and Italy, under a single identity, BioKryo. The service offer is aimed at laboratories specialized in the fields of research or diagnosis.

With a storage capacity of more than 20 million biological samples (tissues, cells and DNA), the BioKryo network operates in three European countries, with four dedicated sites. Each site offers a complete range of cryogenic services, including storage temperatures from -196°C to +20°C with all associated services including cryogenic sample transport. This service is destined for research teams in the human and veterinary health sector, agriculture, pharmaceutical or cosmetic industries, wishing to secure their samples, duplicate their collections or free up space in their premises.

BioKryo also offers an outsourcing service with the management of customers' tanks or freezers within its own biobanks. Turnkey cryoconservation, remote monitoring of tanks and reservoirs, auditing of cryopreservation rooms, advice and training of teams, as well as support for quality certifications are the services offered by BioKryo. These services aim to offer, within our network of biobanks, a standardized and high-quality management when samples are stored in customer-owned equipment hosted in our biobanking network.

Within the BioKryo network, all processes and quality systems are harmonized to meet the highest quality and safety standards for diagnostic, research and therapeutic purposes, wherever a sample is stored. Sample monitoring and traceability is ensured 24/7/365 in a doubled and automatic control by teams of technicians and biologists. All sites in the network comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for the reception, storage and provision of biological samples.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new location in Saarbrücken, Germany, which occupies 1,000 square meters of storage space with a capacity of up to 10 million samples, Louis-François Richard, Medical Gases Europe Cluster VP, declared :
